"Red and White Ramblings"

The Challenge Shield introduced last year for games between Skipton and Lexton was won by our Club for the first time last Saturday. The Shield has created great interest with each of the seven games played deciding the eventual winner.

SENIOR FOOTBALL

After a slow start to the game which saw Lexton kick four quick goals, the Seniors worked hard to be only 2 goals behind at half time. After the break the whole team lifted, with a number of senior players led by Tony Boyer and the Coach Wayne Grace leading the way. They were supported by the efforts of the younger players like Adam Slater and Joseph Kavanagh who continue to improve each game.

Kiernan Molloy with 7 goals and Josh Milenkovic 4 goals, were focal points in the forward line.

Moved to full back after half time, John Gardner played a strong game. A very strong team effort resulted in a 67 point win.
